Testimonials...
Frea is a 2 year old black & white border collie with a bit of red from her dad. She has been training since a puppy and enjoys the variety of all the on/off lead exercises and agility. She has become friends with the other dogs and hopefully a well behaved pet that loves barking at her own shadow.
Me and my 20 week old puppy, Jenson, have just completed Neville's 10 week puppy class... Jenson is our first dog so we needed all the help we could get from his class, from making sure he stayed close to us on the lead to important commands such as 'sit' and 'stay'... At first I didn't think he would ever pay attention to what I was asking him to do - he's a Labrador with an extremely sensitive nose and has a very short attention span! However, with some patience and practice the classes taught me the best ways to ensure Jenson behaves! In every class we always did lots of different exercises! For example, getting the pups comfortable with us checking their ears and eyes, brushing them, learning key commands and even some agility which was great fun! Doing a range of things in the classes every week was great as Jenson didn't get bored and it meant we could take these tips home and practice until we mastered them!
Since the puppy classes Jenson is far more obedient in all areas... It's made such a positive difference to the whole family as getting a puppy for the first time was at first a big challenge; the classes have made having a puppy much easier and fun! Everyone in the class was so friendly and we all got to share any issues we were having and get fantastic tips from Neville!
I'd recommend this class to anyone as not only does it teach your dog to be obedient but it also teaches us, the owners, to understand our dogs and therefore see our pups full potential! I can't wait to start the next class and I’d recommend Neville's classes to everyone!

When we joined Neville’s training class our rescue dog was about eight months old, extremely boisterous and with little previous training. Working hard and following Neville’s advice, she is greatly improved and walks well on the lead. We have seen Neville’s sessions expand from basic training to incorporate agility and scent work as well as retrieving articles. We attend as often as possible because our dog enjoys socializing and it reinforces good behaviour
When me and my daughter Laura started puppy training Tara was 9 months old very energetic and sometimes naughty, but keen to learn. She is a Doberman who is a very dominant bitch and tries to push her weight around the family and we felt she was in need of some professional training. It is just as big a learning kerb for me and Laura as it is for Tara you may ask what do we get out of these classes?
– Socialisation with other dogs and people
– Advice on training problems
– Walking on a lead, sit stay, fetch, verbal control, good social behaviour
– Basic commands and techniques that we need to use and how to apply them
– Positive thinking keeping calm when things don’t go quite right
– With help Tara is a much happier dog less anxious and confused
This has formed a healthy happy relationship and I believe that training taught both of us how to achieve that and how important it is to keep on practicing and not to give up.
Thank you
Shereen, Laura and Tara
Hello my name is Marley and I have been attending classes for nearly two years and its such fun. I started in puppy training class and am now in the advanced class. I also want to attend agility training which is my favourite even though when I first started I was a little worried by some of the equipment. I have learned so much from the obedience classes that I even do as I am told when out on my walks. I have also made lots of friends there, even girlfriends!
Hi I’m Sally here with my family. I have been coming to see Neville at k9 academy for over 2 years. I can now do lots like coming when I’m called, sitting, staying and walking nicely. I love coming to agility with all the friends I have made. I now have a sister, Beth who also comes and has made lots of friends too.
Woof! My name is Dexter and I am a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel and I have been taking my owner Tim to training classes at ND’s k9 academy since I was 12 weeks old. I cannot praise Neville enough for the way he has helped me to train Tim and turn him into the most obedient (most of the time) owner. I still like to test him sometimes to keep him on his toes but most of the time he gets things about right.
I go to class on Thursday nights now and it’s the highlight of the week. I know I will meet up with lots of my doggy friends, some have been going to class as long as I have. It’s fun to have a play around with them before training starts. The classes are fun and we learn as much as our owners do! I even met my first lady friend there……
I really look forward to the last class of the month as this is when we do agility (see picture), the agility classes are great fun and it is exciting to see how quickly my owner realizes that a reward of a ‘good boy’ a treat or big hug will encourage me to do even better! It’s also amusing to see how fast the owners can run to keep up with us dogs!
Neville is an excellent trainer and I whole heartedly recommend his training classes!
